Yes that is correct, Ryu, but I have been advised by one of the local eBird reviewers, as follows:
Since Eremaea was taken over, there is no direct link between Birdline and eBird, although a system was established whereby Birdline records could be manually ‘indexed’ to eBird. In practice, it is not used because it is a fiddly process and
BirdLife Australia have not been able to find any volunteers to do the work. Additionally, any records that do come across to eBird, come from "Birdline Australia", not from the actual observer, so there is no mechanism for eBird reviewers to contact the observer
if there is a query (and as many of the Birdline records are of rarities, quite a few do need to be queried to obtain adequate documentary support).
So, that’s a long-winded way of saying that [the Birdline] record will not be captured in any database unless [the observer] submits the record [themselves] to one of the databases - eBird, COG, BLA, ALA, etc.

Hi David-
Eremaea Birdlines records which weren't entered into ebird by the observer get transferred periodically to ebird under the name Birdlife Australia (formerly Birdlines Australia).
In this case, Donna had entered her sighting onto ebird already.
