I can add myself to the me-too-ism here. I saw the Plumed Whistling Ducks today at Bungendore on a very wet day about mid day on my way home from Batemans Bay. I counted 26 at the dam. Unlike Geoffrey’s picture, they were mostly sleeping.  I did not know the site but found it to be only about 300 metres off the highway and right beside the road, Trucking Yard Lane, very easy. I don’t know if this has already been mentioned. Plus about 8 Shelducks and various other species near the dam. As it was raining solidly, this was a from inside the car, observation.
