Last Sunday I dropped by Dairy Rd on sunset and was surprised to see so many birds. On the most visible of the settlement ponds there was a flock of about 200 or so silver gulls, and a group of about 30 Pink Eared Ducks feeding in a line. Meanwhile over on Kelly's Swamp there was another group of about 40 Pink Eared ducks swirling around in a huddle in the middle of the pond. On the power lines near the sewerage works were hundreds of common starlings which were making the power lines bounce up and down from their weight. The images below may not show in the email but the links should work.
