this morning around 9.15 a largish raptor sent all the cockatoos and wood ducks around royal canberra golf course into a panic.  I only got a brief look before it went behind tree tops but it registered as a Little Eagle.

Around midday over in West Stromlo  I came across a small group of Yellow faced H/e on the move – not the sort of weather that we would normally associate with the start of the migration but I note that J. Casburn also saw a group today near Duffy.
