Greetings. As previously advised, yestereve was the launch of the new
exhibition at CMAG - the Canberra Museum and Gallery. It was a
packed-out event, with good addresses from CMAG's director Shane
Breynard, David Lindenmayer and the Minister, Chris Bourke. The curator
is Rowan Henderson.
The exhibition is stunning. Among its wonders are many fantastic photos
made by COGites Tobias Hayashi and Julian Robinson.
Ian Fraser has provided a fine introduction to the catalogue titled
'Becoming the bush capital', a highly recommended read. And, on 23
March,'Join naturalist Ian Fraser and CMAG’s Social History Curator
Rowan Henderson as they stride into the Bush Capital exhibition to
explore the habitats, specimens and works of art that combine to
illustrate the natural history of the ACT'.
Don't miss this exhibition. You will regret it if you do!
