A rather beautiful painting to illustrate the identity of huge caterpillars some may have come across.
One almost distracted us from Superb Parrot observations above Bainton Crescent's fruitful gardens on the Melba side of Mt Rogers yesterday. 
A caterpillar to photograph rather than touch as the bristly hairs have a chemical deterrent.
