I presume they were Black-winged Stilts, rather than Banded Stilts. There have been up to 14 B-wS on the Hoskinstown Plain recently, but the habitat there is drying out so they might
have moved to the Shoveler Pond..
I will leave it to A N Other to speculate on Shovelers (of either persuasion) on Stilts.
