Took a drive out to Bendorra dam yesterday. Good time to go into the mountains, Plenty of birds about - what you would expect - Golden and Rufous Whistlers, Cresent Honeyeater, Eastern spinebills, White-eared, White-naped, yellow faced HEs,
Spotted Pardatotes nesting, Fan-tail Cuckoos, Satin bowerbird, Sacred kingfishers, Grey Shrike thrush etc. etc. Then a 'near" adult sea-eagle puts in an brief appearance. Not what you would normally expect on a trip deep into the mountains!

Also the odd RB black snake and a nice Blotched Blue tongue.
