On a tangent, starting a couple of weeks ago I’ve been hearing a peaceful dove calling somewhere around my home in Curtin – I assume it’s a cage bird.

This is just a white feral pigeon, probably one of the fancy pet types (which could be why it is tame or maybe it is old and or sick). It isn’t a Peaceful Dove except in the colloquial lower case name, at least in terms of species name.

Hello. I found this peaceful dove (i think...) at Wanniassa shops this evening. It's a bit raggedy but in reasonably good condition i think, just going on amateur observation. It was very tame - i just picked it up from the car park leaf litter without a struggle. I can't keep it very long - i need to rehome it ASAP. If anyone has any suggestions who i can contact about this i'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks, Joanne.
