Yes good photos and easy to identify it as a Brown Falcon. The untidy arrangement of brown & white colours, the face pattern, scruffy plumage and inelegant
stance, the longish bare legs, the dark feathers over the top of the legs, all are clear characters. Strangely perched zygodactylous with outer toe behind the branch............
I think that area is one of few places where
brown treecreepers
occur (apart from Angle Crossing & Castle Hill area).

Len & I visited the London Bridge Homestead yesterday afternoon. What a terrific place for little birds! There were Flame & Hooded Robins, Red-browed Finch, Diamond Firetails, European
Goldfinch, Southern Whiteface, Thornbills, Treecreepers, Shrike-thrush ....
Another highlight was a Brown Falcon (my first sighting so I hope I'm right ... photos attached).
The weather was cold, but reasonable when the sun was shining.
Thanks to Frank, who we met along the way, for passing on really useful information about the location of some of the birds.
I was surprised to see brown treecreepers there, having never seen them in the Canberra area before.
I also managed my first Southern Whiteface photos (rather poor) and female Hooded Robin.
Some photos attached for anyone interested.
Confirmation of Brown Falcon ID (or otherwise) also appreciated.
