this time of year they're often associated with mixed flocks - in the Mugga Lane woodland surveys yesterday morning I got 4 Speckled Warblers associated with Red-browed Finches, Yellow-rumped and Buff-rumped Thornbills on the ground, as well as Scarlet
Robins, while Weebills and Grey Fantails moved through same areas higher up in the foliage
