Many thanks Mark, Shorty, Martin, Geoffrey, Thomas and Philip,

Speckled Warbler it is!

I jumped to the thornbill conclusion after watching thornbills move through in the canopy..

Robin,

It is a male (black eyebrow) Speckled Warbler. The female has a reddish brown eyebrow.

Cheers,

Mark

This small bird was in a small flock in Mulligans this afternoon.  Is it a Striated Thornbill?

The “eyebrow” seems more pronounced than illustrations I have looked at.
