Thanks for your responses. My definition for mobbing is quite broad: including both conspicuous displays close to the owls and directly pursuing them.

A request on the Canberra bird chatline would be great. Could you send me the link when it becomes posted?

Thanks

Re 'mobbing' does this imply pursuit, or does an aggressive pass by a single
harasser at a perched bird qualify?

Thanks Matt

I'll see if Sue or Geoffrey or anyone else have any suggestions. I haven't
watched this local bird much.

Regards

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

I'm doing a review of mobbing species of the Powerful Owl for an upcoming
paper. I wonder if you and your peers have observed any other mobbing
species not already included in my literature review below?

Sulphur-crested Cockatoo Cacatua galerita Crimson Rosella Platycercus
elegans Southern Boobook Ninox novaeseelandiae Laughing Kookaburra Dacelo
novaeguineae Noisy Miner Manorina melanocephala Little Raven Corvus mellori
Grey Fantail Rhipidura fuliginosa Spangled Drongo Dicrurus bracteatus
Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike Coracina novaehollandiae Grey Butcherbird
Cracticus torquatus Grey Currawong Strepera versicolor Pied Currawong
Strepera graculina Australian Magpie Gymnorhina tibicen White-winged Chough
Corcorax melanorhamphos

Some of these species have come from your 2011 paper.

Any help would be great.

Cheers
Matt
