A highlight of a recent trip to WA was large flocks of Purple-crowned Lorikeets at Margaret River. Below is a link to an audio file of the largest flock I saw (200+ birds feeding high up in the canopy) to give you some idea of the sound generated by them. The flock was big enough to impress even the non-birders, particularly when most of the birds left together and flew to an area a couple of hundred metres away.
