The south-west corner has long had a rich variety of small birds resident, and this morning was no different, until a brown goshawk turned up.  It is the first time I have encountered a brown goshawk at that exact location (near old ammo huts).  The magpies and crimson rosellas harassed it as it went from one tree to another, but by then the small birds had completely disappeared.
