Morning all,

After spending the weekend banding at West Wyalong, I stopped off in Turner to show two overseas visitors the owl. There were three people already there searching in vain in its usual roosting tree. One of my visiting banders, from Sri Lanka, finally located the bird in a pine tree closer to the main road in Turner (not the road beside the bowling club). I think someone has already mentioned that the bird had been seen in the pine tree. This tree is between its “usual” tree and a large ?Pencil Pine? The owl was not holding any prey items and was starting to preen itself when we were there at around 6:30 in the afternoon.
