In contrast to the very shy Spotless Crake https://vimeo.com/115842727 of yesterday here is some nice footage of the much more bold Australian Spotted Crake that share the same habitat in Forde https://vimeo.com/115880300 - note in clip 3 the bird carries of a food item in its beak into the reeds - I wonder what is going on there??? I also have video of the other two Porzana crakes that occur in Australia see: Baillons Crake https://vimeo.com/73554386 (also present in Forde at the moment) and the tropical White-browed Crake https://vimeo.com/73618645 David |
