Grey Butcherbird, Willie Wagtail, Australian Magpie, Olive-backed Oriole, Noisy Miner, Magpie-lark, Red Wattlebird, Noisy Friarbird (of course, the last three
are species I’m studying for my PhD and so I visit their nests and probably deserve to be swooped every now and then).

4 sulphur crested cockatoos swooped me late last year after i appeared too interested in watching one of them at the nesting hole. Loud, close to my head and relentless for about a kilometer. Still nervy around
the cranky things!

Subject: [canberrabirds] Species that have swooped me
I was swooped by a Noisy Friarbird today as I paused to watch it feeding its young in the nest. This is the first time I've been swooped by this species, which got me thinking of all those which have. I'm sure others will have more, but
for me, so far, this is the list of birds that I can remember swooping me:
I would be interested in hearing what encounters others have had.
