Another Australian bird guide app is the Australian Bird Guide, by Galexy
P/L. It is a fairly basic guide, with photographic illustrations. It,
unfortunately, does not cover all Aus species, due to availability of
photographs, but it does cover 754 species. It would be pretty good for a
young birder. One of the plusses is that it is free.
The app is available in iOS and Android. The Android app is available from
http://www.gaiaguide.info/MobileApps.html and the iOS from Apple's app
store.
