When I first saw Christine's photos I wondered if the Saturday bird was a male and yesterday's a female.  The references I have looked at (Pizzey and Knight, HANZAB) show the juveniles etc to be rather more striated than either of the images.

Here are two photos I have taken at McKellar. The first was taken on Saturday, and the second yesterday (Wednesday). Please excuse the poor quality of the photos.
