Thanks for that Philip.  The ANPS did a walk  from Kambah Pool North last Wednesday (11/6) and I heard one Crescent Honeyeater call once in a gully about 2.5km into the walk.  It became the final bird in my Bird-a-Day exercise, so it's good to know I wasn't hallucinating!

Incidentally from 2.5km to 3km North there is a lot of flowering Grevillea junperina so it should be a top spot for honeyeaters.

I went to Kambah Pool on Saturday & Sunday afternoons (for the first time this year). Conspicuous by their calling, lots of Crescent Honeyeaters down along the river. They are not sociable, so are not in flocks but spread out mainly in the Casuarinas along the riparian zone. They are generally there in winter but this was the first time I have noticed many. Also Scarlet Robins all along the transect.
