I have just had an excellent view of an Australasian Bittern in Ginninderra Creek, Giralang. I am kicking myself for not having my camera on me, and the bird was not visible when I came back with it.

It was in the reeds, down stream of Giralang Pond. I'll be a keeping a very close eye on the area, with camera in hand.

Duncan.
