Hi Julie
This is a fantastic sighting! And yes, you should notify people including the Booderee Park people and also BirdLife Australia. The Regent Honeyeater is very
scarce these days so any sighting is extremely important.
The following link gives some info on who you could contact

Well done,
Harvey

Subject: [canberrabirds] YFH + Regent Honeyeater
I just had 3 days staying at Jervis Bay and was interested to see all the Yellow-faced Honeyeaters there .... migrating from our area??
I spent Tuesday in Booderee National Park and was delighted to see my first Regent Honeyeater! (low quality photo attached)
I was puzzled as to why the bird didn't appear on the Booderee National Park Bird List.
Should I be mentioning the sighting to them?
