I was out side at about 9.30 tonight and heard an owl calling. It was a call I had not heard before. Two notes, the second slightly different to the first. "Whoo who" or something similar repeated about 15 sec intervals. I then looked up Pizzey and sure enough the description of the call fitted.
Thanks for the assistance Martin. I am so pleased with this record, the first for me at my home patch. Graeme Clifton
