Julie  -  Yes thanks for pics  -   it is a reed warbler.  See below  -  the long bill (in particular) and general plain tawny colouration are determinative.  On the right is a more typical RW.  Your bird is possibly a juvenile, going by eye colour, bill colour, and some streakiness in the breast plumage, although the books do not give that as a juvenile character. Pic 2 does look a bit grassbirdy – disregarding the long bill.  It is possible your bird has been bathing (bristly crown).  G
