My sincere apologies to everyone for sending a larger than acceptable email and apparently not being able to use a field guide.

I've been TOLD my bird is a reed-warbler.

I would like to say that I have 2 field guides, spend hours going through them,  and am keen to learn.

I'd like to thank all those on the chatline who have been so supportive and helpful to me as I blunder along with my bird discoveries.

Regards
Julie

Hi All,

Paddling around Lake Ginninderra in my kayak this morning I photographed the attached bird. When I was taking the photos I assumed it was a reed-warbler, but looking at them later I'm  now not sure, unless perhaps it's a young bird??

Could it possibly be a little grassbird? I haven't seen one before.
The tail, streaks on the chest and the colour on the head and back all appear different to reed-warblers I've seen.

Thanks once again for your help.

Cheers
Julie
