The only other record of this species in the database is the one reported in the GBS at Holder in March 1986.

At least four birds in flowering ironbark on bike path that crosses Lyttleton Cres between Wybalena Grove and Cambridge St. Present at 9.00 and still there at 10.00am, in company with Rainbow Lorikeets.

Trees are about 50 metres on the uphill side of Lyttleton from the bus stop right next to the bike path.

Several (not very good) photos taken with one attached. Have been hearing small lorikeets for some days but only checked them out this morning.

Superb parrots also present in this area, although only juveniles and females seen this morning.
