For all the koel lovers out there, I got
a really good look at two males yesterday - one in Etheridge street, Page and
the other in Ulm place, Scullin. I'm sure they weren't the same bird, as I heard
a koel calling from the Scullin area whilst watching the male in Page. (Also
heard a third male calling at the same time from the direction of Hawker shops,
but didn't track him down).
Today there was a male ko-elling on Starke street in Holt, opposite
Cranleigh school.
Oh, and three superb parrots flew over Higgins Primary too!
