For what its worth – we saw number of large flocks out west last week both feeding and in the air.  They were mainly between Forbes and Condobolin.  This is not unusual in my book – I would normally come across large groups when driving between Canberra and Brisbane via Wellington and Gunnedah. 
 
Interestingly there were only a handful seen once we got south of Condobolin.
