There is a pair of Friar Birds consistently on the north-east side of Percival Hill NR, generally near and to the north of the main (lower) dam. I have not located a nest but I haven’t specially looked for one either.
Enter from Gundaroo Drive immediately after Crace roundabout, drive down to near Ginninderra Creek and then walk across the cornet crossing and follow your nose through the gate and up the hill to the dam on your right.
Or I can show you but I am going overseas on Wednesday.
Cheers
John

Hi Cog members,
As some of you know, I am doing a PhD project on hosts of the Pacific Koel. I am performing experiments at their nests to determine if they have any defences against brood parasitism. Earlier I sent out a message asking if anyone knew of Red Wattlebird nests.
I'm now on the lookout for Magpie-lark and Noisy Friarbird nests. If you happen to see any or have an idea where a territory might be, please let me know. Thanks so much!
