This morning one of the whistling kites at Kelly’s Swamp was plucking then feeding on a dead bird in front of Cygnus hide for about 30 minutes.  From what was visible through the reeds, carcass was size of a small waterbird (smaller than a pelican!). Then saw bright green when the kite pulled at a wing, so presumably black duck or grey teal.  Kite eventually flew off to a willow tree across the swamp.

The other nice sighting at Kelly’s Swamp this morning was a Spotted Harrier.  The Royal Spoonbill was still there too.
