It’s Ornithologicus twoheadii, subsp. dabbi , the well know Apostbronzewiturq, a very elusive and extremely shy species found only Binya State Forest near Griffith in NSW. It is a bird I have been for trying to find for, many, many years and have never even found a discarded feather from. All other subspecies are found on remote tropical islands except one that lives on the top of Big Ben Mountain on Heard Island in the sub-Antarctic. There are no known specimens in any of the world’s museums! Geoffrey you are indeed most fortunate to have captured a photograph of this fabulous bird.
