This morning at Castle Hill I was again oversupplied with far too many birds for one person to be able to get reasonable counts. By 18:20 at my last site on east side of Urambi Hills, there were very few birds to keep me occupied. There was a steady decrease through the day. I'm glad I started at my best site.

Other interesting things during the day. One very easy to watch hybrid Eastern / Crimson Rosella on the southernmost lawn area at the Pine Island south picnic area. Good photo ops though I don't have a camera. It was associating with 2 Crimson Rosellas and the same size as them but looking much more like an untidy Eastern Rosella with pale blue cheeks and too much red (on abdomen and rump). The flight call was the same as a normal Crimson Rosella.

A Red-kneed Dotterel at Lanyon. Little Eagle near Tharwa. 3 Ravens attacking a soaring Wt Eagle to a ridiculous height. At that altitude the eagle can't be a danger to any nests (if indeed they ever are) so why would they bother?

Lots of White-winged Trillers at most sites but I only saw males. I wonder if females are on nests. The many Diamond Firetails of recent years diminished (for me at least) to a one only heard at Castle Hill.
