Steve,
3 days ago Geoffrey D posted this on access to FSP on the chatline—
“I finally had a call back from the ACTEW ‘asset manager’. The unfortunate news is that the ponds remain officially closed to nature watchers for another 6 months due to a need to upgrade the margins of the ponds. There was an apology
for lack of communication. Further info will be given to a scheduled meeting with Parks and Conservation next month in the interest of cooperation with JWNLR management. Chris – as I have no formal role in this I have indicated you as an appropriate future
contact.

Does Alastair’s message mean that they are now open?
Thanks

One found by Alastair Smith this morning. First seen on pond 2b (COG pond 6), later relocated at pond 4 (COG Pond 1), I have attached part of Geoffrey Dabb’s recent message re pond numbering to save confusion. This may be the second ACT
record, Wilson lists a sighting in 1991.
