There is an ironbark in my street in Deakin (corner of Northcote Cres and Gawler Cres) that has been full of noisy Red Wattlebirds for many weeks (since at least the middle of June).  The flowers look a bit sick by now but there are still several RWs there every day.

Hi Chris

The ironbarks in Tuggeranong have been flowering all winter, or at least from early July.

Cheers

Hi,

I note that at present there is a good flowering event from the Red Ironbarks E sideroxylon which are being fed on by the Superb Parrots in the area.  Can anyone tell me if the flowering has just started or if this species has been flowering all winter.  Interestingly I was out at Jindalee NP yesterday and the Ironbarks were not on flower there.

Chris
