A good find Michael. June records are rare for the Buff-banded Rail in the ACT. There is only one in the COG database (2011). There are no July records in the COG database.

With some water now back in Kellys Swamp, the birds are slowly returning (although Swamphens and G Teal arrived two seconds after a puddle formed). Single Buff-banded Rail this morning and a couple of Shovelers.
