We have done some work recently at Kellys Swamp to re-instate the shingle
island. The vegetation has been scraped off and fresh stone (smaller material
than the original) has been placed on one end, while the Friends of JW have
reclaimed some of the original stone to create larger pebble sections along
other parts of the island.
We will obviously keep an eye on its use but if any of you notice any use of
the island by plovers/dotterels please let me know.
