My reaction was the same as Mark's. That seems to be a statement of the obvious. So I hope it is correct. It would also seem obvious that there would be a "no stopping" sign at some earlier point along the road. Otherwise an end sign would seem to be rather dopey, as in why would they bother to put up an "end" sign?

I don't know, I have not been there.

Then again some signs are ridiculous. I am always annoyed by the sign on Tuggeranong Parkway that reads something about texting I think it is "DRIVE N TEXT UB NEXT'. Apart from that I have no idea what an UB is. Why should a sign be advocating for each of us becoming the next one?

You have all failed your basic traffic sign laws. It is THE END of a no stopping area, so if it is safe to do so, you can now stop in the area!! No Junior Woodchucks badge for all of you!!!!!!!

I had a delightful morning being shown around Uriarra Village by Jude Hopwood today.  On my way there and back, in the vicinity of the new dam, only visible after the fog lifted, I was puzzled by a road sign that was a big S in a circle with a red line across it.  I have been unable to find an explanation on the internet, and indeed, the attached was the only similar image I could find, although it tells you you are ending the whateveritis zone.  Haven’t the faintest idea what road rule I might have been breaking.  Does anyone else know?

Thank you

Margaret Leggoe
