Small flocks flying over Cook this morning - 15-20 per flock with just a couple of White-naped in each.  7 flocks in total so ~100-140 birds.

I am surprised that no-one else has posted a report of seeing honeyeater migration today, which as David points out were probably the best conditions so far this autumn, or, as would seem unlikely, was this an isolated migration with most having already left Canberra?

Has anyone seen any Fuscous Honeyeaters moving through or into your local patch?

There has been a significant increase in honeyeaters moving over our place in Wamboin this morning, probably due to the first really cool overnight temp we’ve had.

Several hundred to a thousand have flown over so far, moving predominantly north-east, largest flock about 100, with about 80% Yellow-faced and the remainder White-naped, the first we’ve seen this migration. Smaller groups of Yellow-faced and the odd White-naped as well.

Also a flock of 17 Pied Currawongs flew over, and a small group of Silvereyes.
