Spent some time along Middle Creek this morning.  At least two white-throated gerygones there and the little pied cormorant was a nice surprise.

Just as I was leaving there was a commotion in the air, most noticeable was a screaming hobby, dark in colour and coming from the dam across the road from the Narrabundah Lane gate.  It really was dark in colour.  It was then I spotted the wedgie with a couple of ravens in pursuit.  In the photo below everything was over exposed to pick up the feather detail in the underside of the eagle against the sky.  As you can see by the light apparent colour of the raven, if it and the small raptor were brought back to their normal colour it would probably look more like a hobby than a kestrel.

Unfortunately this shot was taken with the macro lens I had on the camera at the time.
