Interesting photos. I recall last time I was at the wetlands (time before this morning) I saw two kingfishers on the cycle track just out of the carpark, both had pure white undersides, and more bluey backs. I thought it was unusual, but passed them off as just more sacred.

However, seeing your photos there is a clear difference there. Is it possible the pure white bellied bird is a different one? 

I know it's way out of range, but looking at the photo, is it possible there could be forest kingfishers about??
