Hi everyone,

On the 12/01/13, I suspected one of the 3 Baillon's crake I found at the
Dickson wetlands to be a juvenile but the bird was quite far away and rushed
back into the vegetation after about 5 secondes.
Yesterday (14/01/13) I went back to the wetlands. Water levels had risen and
the total banks area was reduced. I found the same bird but this time had great
views of it and could confirm it is a juvenile Baillon's.
Of course I can't know for sure that they bred there as I only started visiting
this site on the 12/01/13, but it is likely.

Otherwise, 1 Australian crake and 4 Australasian grebes including one on a nest.

Have a great day. Cheers,

Vivien
