It must have been around mid September when I first noticed about a dozen straw-necked ibis roosting just where the track crosses the creek at zoo corner.  They were there again this morning, and it is the first time since then that I have been in the same location at the same time of day (relative to sunrise).  I assume they make a regular habit of roosting there overnight.  Today, after a thorough preening, they flew off at 6.30 am.
