Friday, November 2, 15:30 Hours 6 Superb Parrots (3 males, 3 females) foraging in elm 30 metres S.E. of cricket nets. All silent for 15 minutes before issuing forth with low-pitched trilling calls. Then, after a few minutes, the sotto voice communications increased in frequency until continuous, and 4 parrots flew N.W. to elms near Southern Cross Drive while remainder went to eucalypts 50 metres to the S. E.

First time I’ve noticed Superb Parrots at Holt Oval since summer 2008/09.
