Late this afternoon (about 6pm), a male Scarlet Honeyeater was feeding in the Grevilla growing half way between the carpark and Bittern hide. The red on the chest was not well developed and the back had large areas of brown feathers - immature bird? Unfortunately the only photo I could get is out of focus but you can see the colour of the chest and the brown in the wings.
