Subject: Re: [canberrabirds] Where the big jet engines roar ... Interesting, Geoffrey. When my family moved here in 1959, they were regulars on the northern end of the runway. As far as I knew (don't know for sure) they had not been there for about 40 years. I am sure the record keepers can set me straight on details. Great to see them, anyway, Other regular spot was on the flats leading into Bungendore, from Queanbeyan. Old sheep paddocks. (No, not with old sheep - former sheep paddocks). Denis Wilson |
