David,

You asked: "Ganggang, Gang gang or Gang-gang?  Which is correct?" None of
these are correct if you are meaning the recommended name of the bird. These
are all abbreviations, as for example used for the name of the COG
newsletter publication Gang-gang. The recommended name of the bird is
Gang-gang Cockatoo.

In a mature Yellow Box this morning at the western end of Deakin, a pair of
Gang-gangs paying very close attention to nesting holes, the male shooing
off other birds while the female was exploring the nest options.  The male
looked stressed :-)
