Northern boundary fence 27 species:
. 1 plump Brown Snake crossing the track. Water draining in places across the track and glad I wore my old boots!
. 3 Pairs Scarlet Robins – or was I being followed ? in which case maybe one pair. They did seem curious.
. 5 Yellow -tailed Black Cockatoos – these stayed in the vicinity all the time then moved towards Mt Stromlo about 1pm
. 2 small groups of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters flying towards NE
. 1 White-throated Treecreeper (probably male) I have not seen in NH before
. 7 Black-faced Cuckoo Shrikes – with immature birds in the group – this appeared to be a family
. 1 King Parrot
. 3 Laughing Kookaburras
. Superb Wrens ++ - usually seen with other small birds in feeding flocks
. Grey Fantails ++ - dark colouring with lemon underbelly
. Yellow-rumped Thornbills ++
. 1 Speckled Warbler
. 2 Brown Thornbill
. Red-browed Firetails
. Double-barred Finch
. Silvereye
. Eastern Rosella
. Crimson Rosella
. Galahs
. Sulphur-crested Cockatoos
. 6 Choughs
. Currawongs
. 2 Australian Kestrel
. Red Wattlebirds

No duskies, no tawnies, no ducks, no starlings, or Euro Goldfinch, no common Myna, no Noisy Miner.
