Yellow-faced Honeyeaters seem to be moving though our garden, although this is a little confused by others of the species pausing to dine on the profusely flowering Eucalyptus macrorhyncha and E. mannifera.  Today a solitary White-naped Honeyeater joined them - an unusual event here.

Scarlet Robins have moved in to our garden and were expressing some displeasure with the roosting Tawny Frogmouths yesterday.  The best thing about this was that it enabled me to find the Froggies in yet another roost - about 20m from their current favourite perch.

We went for a walk up Palerang Rd in Tallaganda today.  It was fairly quiet in all regards, but on the way down we saw 2 glorious male Flame Robins on the road and nearby a Fan-tailed Cuckoo perched quietly to enjoy the sight, you should excuse the anthropomorphism.  A Superb Lyrebird called briefly and Gang-gangs creaked for a longer period (the latter are also more evident in Carwoola these days).

Martin.
