undertook the surveys this morning - fine and dry (but very soggy underfoot in parts, and very wet in the long grass).  44 Species recorded for the morning. There were large numbers of sulphur crested cockatoos around (over 60 counted).  At one site I had six parrot species within the 10-minute survey period - this included the long-billed- / little corella pair. Outside survey sites, a fan-tailed cuckoo seen, one of very few sightings I've had for that species this season, and the flock of diamond firetails are still down near the gully, as are dusky woodswallows. A brown goshawk was causing consternation up near the pump station, and possibly the same bird later seen in the more usual spot on the hillside towards centre of reserve. Little corellas, galahs and crimson rosellas all seen inspecting hollows. Speckled warblers seen in two areas - up near quarry fence, and about half way down the track on farm side of reserve. Another good morning at CB!
